“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” released a new behind-the-scenes video from the first filming!
A remake of the film “Mr. Hong,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is a romance drama starring Shin Min Ah as Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist who moves from Seoul to the seaside village of Gongjin, and Kim Seon Ho as Hong Doo Shik, an odd-jobs expert who helps everyone around town. Lee Sang Yi plays Ji Sang Hyun, a variety show PD known for creating warm content about people’s everyday lives.
In the new making-of video, Shin Min Ah describes her character as someone who seems selfish but is still very lovable. The actress shared, “Having worked together with the actors, it seems like it’ll be even more fun than it was during the script reading. Since we’re filming at a seaside village, I think the picture will look really pretty, so I’m anticipating it a lot. The script is also so fun that I was very concerned about how it’ll seem when we acted that script out, but I think it’ll come out very well.”
During rehearsals, Shin Min Ah looks at a photo and excitedly tells Gong Min Jung, “It’s Lee Sang Yi!” Gong Min Jung tells her to think carefully, and Shin Min Ah states, “Oh, it’s Ji Sung Hyun (Lee Sang Yi). He looks similar to Lee Sang Yi.”
At the director’s reference to “Titanic,” Kim Seon Ho spreads his arms out on top of a fishing boat to reenact the famous scene from the movie. Regarding his first day of filming, Kim Seon Ho shares, “I was nervous at first because they said we were coming to Pohang and since the first filming was here. However, it was so pretty when we first got here. It’s gotten a bit dark, but honestly, the weather today was so nice. I met and acted with our Hye Jin, so I’m very happy, and wow, she’s so pretty.”
Lee Sang Yi shares, “I think a lot of adorable bickering moments will appear, so please look forward to it a lot.” He continues, “I came here very slightly nervous, but luckily my nervousness subsided a lot, so I think I can have fun during the first filming.” In his first scene with Kim Seon Ho, the two laugh brightly as they unintentionally create a blooper together.
Kim Seon Ho closes his interview by sharing that he’ll provide a healing drama while Shin Min Ah also asks viewers to anticipate “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.”
