We finally know a bit more about Song Hye Kyo’s Upcoming Drama!
A couple of days ago, fans were delighted to find out that Song Hye Kyo was coming back with a new drama by screenwriter Kim Eun Sook, the two worked together in the past on the hit drama “Descendants of the Sun.”
When the casting news came out, not much was revealed about the plot of the drama or even its name, but now, we finally have more details to share.
On January 8, production company Hwa & Dam Pictures shared in a statement that the upcoming drama will be titled “The Glory.”
“The Glory” will be a sad revenge drama about a high school student who dreamt of becoming an architect, however, she dropped out of school after being bullied relentlessly. Years have passed, the bully gets married and has a kid, once the kid reaches elementary school, the former victim becomes their homeroom teacher and starts her plan to get revenge on the bullies and the bystanders.
It’s also been revealed that the series will be pre-produced and will consist of multiple seasons; the first season has eight episodes. Specifics such as the airing schedule haven’t been decided yet, but the plan is to film in the second half of 2020.

Is it just me or are kdramas moving towards multiple season narrative… why?
One of the main reasons I started watching kdramas was how short and straight to the point they were, in recent years, I can see more and more production companies moving in that direction and its honestly discouraging.
Also, am I the only one who’s surprised by the plot? It seems so ‘average’ coming from screenwriter Kim Eun Sook who always had such grandeur ideas to explore, this one seems more grounded in reality and it’s surprising. It’s also intriguing, I am curious to see how it’ll unfold.
I can’t wait for more announcements on who’ll join Song Hye Kyo, and I hope that in this drama, she’ll play a different character from what she’s known for, I’d love to see her play a rough vengeful spiteful character, I’ll be interesting to see how she does with it.
