  • Although I miss the pink hair, Kim Hee-sun (Tomorrow)’s darker locks do help with the moodier vibe in Netflix’s newest poster for Remarriage & Desires. Launching next month on July 15, the satirical revenge story co-stars Lee Hyun-wook (Mine), Jung Yoo-jin (Snowdrop), Park Hoon (Soundtrack #1), and Cha Ji-yeon (Taxi Driver). [News1]
  • Lee Seo-jin (Dr. Park’s Clinic) and Kwak Sun-young (Inspector Koo) have been cast alongside Seo Hyun-woo (Extracurricular) and Joo Hyun-young (SNL Korea) in tvN’s remake of the French comedy-drama Call My Agent! Airing towards the end of 2022, PD Baek Seung-ryong is attached to direct with Park So-young handling scripts. [MK Sports]
  • Casting has wrapped for KBS’s Curtain Call with Kwon Sang-woo (Fly Dragon) now joining Kang Haneul (Insider), Ha Ji-won (Chocolate), and Sung Dong-il (Ghost Doctor). Production for the drama is currently underway and is expected to broadcast later this year. [YTN]

  • MBC’s upcoming Big Mouth released stills from its first script reading, featuring the main cast: Lee Jong-seok (Romance Is a Bonus Book), Yoon-ah (Hush), Kim Joo-hun (Soundtrack #1), Ok Ja-yeon (The Veil), Yang Kyung-won (One Ordinary Day), and Kwak Dong-yeon (Monstrous). Premiering this July, the hardboiled noir is directed by PD Oh Choong-hwan and written by Ha Ram. [MBC]
  • Meanwhile, TVING finalized casting for Villains and the powerhouse lineup includes: Yoo Ji-tae (When My Love Blooms), Kwak Do-won (There Is No Gu Pil-soo), Lee Beom-soo (Last), and Lee Min-jung (Once Again). PD Jin Hyuk (Sisyphus) will be leading production with writer-director Kim Hyung-joon (No Mercy) penning the scripts. [YTN]
  • JTBC made a casting announcement as well, confirming Lee Bo-young (Mine), Jo Sung-ha (Lovers of the Red Sky), Sohn Na-eun (Ghost Doctor), Han Joon-woo (Pachinko), and Jeon Hye-jin (My Liberation Notes) for their new drama Agency (working title). Planning for an early 2023 broadcast, Song Su-han is writing with PD Lee Chang-min (Woohoo Waikiki) as the talent behind the camera. [JTBC]

  • tvN has finally confirmed an air date for Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-poong, which stars Kim Min-jae (Dal-li and Gamjatang), Kim Hyang-gi (Moment at Eighteen), and Kim Sang-kyung (Racket Boys). Directed by PD Park Won-gook with writing team Park Seul-gi, Choi Min-ho, and Lee Bom, the comedy fusion-sageuk will be coming to our screens on August 1. [Sports Donga]
  • SBS’s Taxi Driver is coming back with season 2 and is planning to release early next year. The core vigilante team will be reprising their roles, including Lee Je-hoon (Move to Heaven), Kim Eui-sung (Arthdal Chronicles), Pyo Ye-jin (VIP), Jang Hyuk-jin (Now, We Are Breaking Up), and Bae Yoo-ram (Moonshine).   • A second season was also confirmed for the hit Netflix series All of Us Are Dead in a video announcement this week, featuring four of the ensemble cast: Park Ji-hoo (All of Us Are Dead), Yoon Chan-young (Hope or Dope 2), Jo Yi-hyun (School 2021), and Park Solomon (Lookout).
