Netflix announced that the period comedy Aema has entered production, headlined by Honey Lee (One the Woman), Bang Hyo-rin (Hail to Hell), Jin Seon-gyu (The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch), and Jo Hyun-chul (Inspector Koo). Written and directed by filmmaker Lee Hae-young (Phantom), the series dives into the South Korean film industry during the 1980s and offers a fictional account of the making of real-life 1982 erotic film Madame Aema, which sparked a renaissance in the genre.
